I had a problem with this after pregnancy and post breastfeeding, because my appetite was still HUGE but there was only me to feed. I had to replace the food. Whenever I felt I NEEDED to eat, I would down a whole glass of water. Sometimes a warm drink, like hot tea helped a little. This won't really help you to keep from being hungry, but it will help to retrain yourself. Also, some say that a lot of fiber will help you feel fuller. However, fiber can bloat you, too. It is a good tool in the beginning, to help you become used to eating so much. Also, eat off of SMALL plates only. That makes your plate seem fuller. Also, a serving is only about the size of your fist or a deck of cards. Chewing gum can help, too. Distract yourself when you're hungry by going on a walk or separating yourself from any food source for a little while. Analyze when you overeat. Are you really hungry? Are you eating because you crave SOMETHING, but not necessarily food? I started taking Wellbutrin, which is regularly prescribed as Zyban to help stop nicotine cravings for those wishing to quit smoking, and it staves off my food cravings as well. I hope these ideas help a little! ( I went from 140 to 126 lbs)

The only one in control here is YOU............While everyone may feel your pain, only you are in control of the gain.!!!!
The next time you feel the urge, drop down and do 25 sit-ups...Then if able to, go take a shower...........If you feel the urge again, drop down and do 35 sit-ups.............If you feel the urge again( I doubt it) then make sure you have some slim-fast shakes and bars in the house...Grab one of them...less calories....good luck
