Your body needs time to recover from such a physically traumatic event. Infection is possible and also there is the risk of getting pregnant. Again. My best friend mistakenly thought she would be okay having sex 5 weeks after her daughter was born without birth control. Guess what! She now has a son. Take it easy. You can get frisky with your man soon enough.

You could get pregnant again, I've had friends that go in for their six week check up and find out they are pregnant, it's a high fertility time. The infection part I'm not sure of, but just be cautious if you aren't ready to be pregnant again.
