The Point was an album many years ago by Harry Nilsson - songs about a kid with a pointy head. Full of interesting lessons and observations on life and how we imagine ourselves to be, how we we really are and how we treat one-another.
He intended to make it into a sort of 'rock-opera' stage production type of thing, but never got further than a record. Don't think it ever made the transition to CD either. Poor old Harry - only ever ever remembered for that dreary 'Can't liiiiiiiive, if living is without you....' thing. Now he is way too dead to do anything about it.
Other than that, the universe is empty and meaningless.
But don't try to make that mean something... coz it doesn't. It is empty and meaningless that it is empty and meaningless.
So just have fun. Enjoy. It's a beautiful world. With lots to see.

there are several meanings for the word point.
do u mean point as in:
the end of a pen pencil or other writing untensil,
a mathamatical point
or whats the point as in:
you so stressed, depressed or just so frustrated in life that u feel theres no POINT to go on. The human heart can mend. With all the hope thats detroyed when you fail to accomplish a goal thats very important to you, it seems like the end of the road. as bad as it gets you have to keep faith alive and keep beleiving that you will find another path.

The point is a made up concept, points are just things used in sports and games to show a quantitative achievement, but really its the sense of achievement one gains from, for example, scoring a try in rugby or scoring a goal in football that is important. So one could say that the point is to try, to try and achieve a feeling of accomplishment, you may fail but then theres always another time.

the point is a one-dimensional mathematical concept, denoting a co-ordinate in space (and maybe time)
