It may be too late for an answer, but I work at an Applebee's in Ohio. The happy hour is mostly universal: Mon - Fri 3p.m. - 7p.m. After 10p.m. the appetizers are again available at half price, but there are no drink specials. This is because in Ohio it is illegal to have a drink deal after a certain hour. Hope this helps!!!

It's going to vary by state. Some states, such as MA, do not allow Happy Hours with drink specials, so happy hour is usually earlier, and only involves money off of appetizers. Places like, FL for example, Happy Hour usually is from something like 5-7 or 6-8 and will include drink specials.

What's wrong about being disappointed? Something didn't turn out the way someone wants it to, most people would call that disappointing. Why can't your niece? Here's the thing (and granted I am only reading what's on this post) I see a lot of "me me me" on this post. It seems you do a lot for your nice for your own gratification (so you can earn the title of "Kewl Aunt") but not a lot of "I do this for my nieces and nephews because they're awesome little people who deserve a loving adult in their life." It seems you want your niece to say "it's cool" when it's not convenient for you to be there for her... because you do so much else for her. Look, I understand life happens and kids need to learn flexibility and the world doesn't revolve around them. But, given the little feedback you've given about her reaction it doesn't seem like she's saying, "screw your son, I'm the most important person it the world". It just seems she's ... disappointed. Second thought (sorry for being so long) Remember, because of her background you may need to really help her define the difference between not being there, and not being there FOR HER. So, again, maybe cut her a little slack and tell her, "I know you're disappointed I wasn't there... I was too. But, I'm always there for you -- and let's celebrate now"

Applebee's happy hour is after closing time. I was driving home after working a late shift and saw two naked people in our Applebee's. They appeared to be dancing .
