Okay i have to have a science fair topic that deals with biology, it cant involve humans or anything else with a vertebrae. It has to also be semi-professional in topic but able to do in or around my home. Thanks! Serious ideas only please.

Going back in time...Get an ant farm...put sugar on the top of one side and salt on the other. Watch as the sugar get brought into the "homes" of the ants and the salt left. It show a socio-economic aspect to life....if you ain't got what you need to survive you will end up going to the other side to get it.

Can study be made on plants?
If yes, then you might get a certain amount of plants of the same type and age, divide them by groups and water them with different fluids (like water, distilled water, sugar, vitamines.......) for some time, and make smart conclusions on that.
