no it is not. It is based off of a series of books set in the forgotten realms land written by various authors and published by wizards of the coast. Go read the freakin books and you'll see it isnt.

No. It's not. I've read a few of the books. The basic premise is you are adventuring around various areas. You create a character, and, while you play, you act like the character would. You keep records of your character's growth. When you try to do something, you roll dice on the outcome. Basically, it's like reading a book in that some information is given to you (relative strength of the monster, what it looks like), and the rest you have to imagine (exactly how you swing your sword, pick the lock, etc.). I've never heard of people summoning demons, conversing with the devil or anything like that during a round of D&D. So, unless you think that reading medevial fantasy, like King Arthur, is demonic, D&D is not satanic, demonic, evil, etc.

I think you can make anything "bad, evil, demonic, good, angelic, righteous" if you want to. Perception is an awesome yet scary thing we all have. Anyone can find what they want in anything... One can find a smoke signal in a puff of smoke, another sees Jesus's face, another sees the devil, then the abstract thinker sees a puff of smoke.... What im trying to say is its what you make of it, just like life you choose to create a good life, or have a miserable one because you don't change the things you don't like.
D&D is a game tha allows people to roleplay, just as an actor gets up on stage and plays a role, the difference is, in D&D the actor's lines aren't scripted for them, they decide to make a move or say something, then they get to roll a die or dice to see if they succeed in their action, which in turn is the opening for the next scene... I personally don't see how that is demonic.
If you choose to say D&D is demonic because of the creatures some choose to use in the game then most mythology is demonic, most fairy tales are demonic, hate to say it then CS Lewis is demonic (look at the characters he used...)
So my friend, im sorry to say I must disagree with you, for if I was to agree with you I would have to say that many things even in Christian sect would be demonic. (and for the record yes I do believe in God and I even know a few ministers that have run D&D campaigns)

I don't think D&D is demonic at all.
That being said, the PLAYERS dictate what kind of game it really is. You can create characters that have "alignments" of varying degrees of good or evil.
You could choose to play in an environment being invaded by demons with an emphasis on sorcery playing as a character that is trying to spread the chaos and desctruction, but you could also play in that same environment as a Paladin or Cleric on a holy crusade to conquer the evil invasion!

How many of us think this way? 80% of us humans have never heard of it. 10% of us have heard of it but have no clue. 2% of us play and know that it is not demonic. 7% of us don't play and think it is not demonic. 1% of us have never played or seen the game played but fervently believe it is demonic. (I made up these percentages)
If a person thinks the game is demonic, then you know that person has never played the game, or even seen it being played. Anyone that has watched it being played will realize that it is no more demonic than bunko.

No way, it's about as demonic as Harry Potter!
It's just a fun game!
I think people need to stop hitting themselves over the head with their Bibles, it's causing brain damage!

OK, just cuz it has to do with demons and witchcraft means it's demonic? Harry Potter is about witchcraft and wizardry. Does that mean it's demonic? No. It's not real. It's fictional.

D&D has nothing to do with the Devil. It may have to do with Wiccan beliefs, but it is most definatly not anything to do demonism.
