Could it be flashbacks from a past life or maybe a dream yu have had ?

déjà vu = a french expression which literally translates as "already seen".
I have had loads of them, and all of them were flashbacks from dreams I've had. Some of my childhood dreams have come true and in a flash of deja vu i've remembered them when the dream became reality, most of these things that came true were fortunately positive (i'm glad about this as i've had some awful nightmares in my time!)

Etymology: French, adjective, literally, already seen
1 a : the illusion of remembering scenes and events when experienced for the first time b : a feeling that one has seen or heard something before
2 : something overly or unpleasantly familiar

its when something happens during an ordinary day that you remember happening before. I had a converstion with someone that I could have swore had before. In a dream maybe???

Hi. I believe it is just when your mind senses it has had an experience that it does not recall. Driving to work would not give this sense because, even though you have done it before, you recall it.

To me, de-ja-vu is when you see something and you swear you have seen it but you KNOW you havent.
