My copy and paste functions on my computer have seemed to stop working for programs like Internet explorer. What’s really strange is when I open Microsoft word it seems to fix the problem, allowing me to copy and paste in Internet explorer. But, it only allows me to copy and paste one time. The second time you try and paste the text it does not work. Any suggestions on fixing this frustrating problem?

It depends on what you're copying and pasting...
Have you tried keyboard shortcuts?
[ctrl]-[c] = copy
[ctrl]-[v] = paste
If you are highlighting text for IE you should be able to select, copy and paste that information into any text based program (word, notepad, etc.).
If you are trying to copy and paste password fields, you will need additional software to make this work. IE security doesn't allow these types of fields to be copied.

Copy and paste has been a problem for me sometimes also.. the problem seems to be with the computer.... if I reboot the problem will correct itself.. go figure...
You might have a corrupt program and might need to reinstall it.
or a virus... or ad ware..
My copy and paste was not working for some time. I tryed deleting NewDotNet, firefox safe mode(v.1.5.0.4), ran msconfig. But now it is working because of a scan I did on my computer using eTrust pestPatrol. I scaned my main drive (C:\) and Quarantined these 7 pests. I am not to sure which did the damage though. Maybe, by deleting the all of these files from your computer can get your copy and paste working again, seeing that they do not help your computer anyways. I believe that the first pest, AdvertMen.A, is the problem. Try seaching for the files pushow34.dll and pushow98.dll, then deleting it.If not, then seach for the other files down the list. I hope this helps.

Internet Explorer is nothing but bad news. Quit using it and get some other browser.

easy. It's a bug of IE. Download the new version that came out on the 19th Oct from www.microsoft.com
