Open your mind a little, divorce hurts both partners. My wife recently left me and her life has appeared to have continued as normal-mine has hit the skids, most mornings I just don't want to get up, I have been very unhappy and depressed since she left but I'm gradually recovering now.

It is simply not true that guys don't get depressed froma divorce.

Divorce is a loss for both partners; it can be like a death. Both partners may grieve. People grieve in different ways. I think men will tend to hide their true feelings more often than women. It's best to experience the full grief and at some point when you have fully experienced the pain of the loss you will make a choice to go on with your life and things will start to get better. Good luck.

So you know every single man on the planet who is going through a divorce then? You know them all so well that you can attest for the fact that none of them are depressed? And you know every woman on the planet going through a divorce so well that you can attest for a fact that they all are depressed? Interesting.

Males & females have such different emotional make-up. Sometimes a guy's depression is manifested by going out & getting piss-drunk w/ his friends @ claiming they don't need women. But they're in pain on the inside... they're just not always capable of showing it.

Sometimes women do the exact same thing. Masking their depression by partying a lot, retail therapy, etc.

Women are not always the one to be depressed when going through a divorce. I can vouch for that.
