The tylenol every 6 hours is fine, and your highest temp being 101 isn't too bad. I am sure all will be fine, but you need to go to the doctor to find out what is causeing the fever. Having the sweats is just the fever breaking, and your body trying to cool it self down, totally normal. If you temp starts to rise again, have a cool bath, make sure to drink plenty of fluids, and get lots of rest. Your body is likely just fighting off some kind of a bug, and I am sure everthing it fine with baby. It would be more concerning if your temp was high like 102.5 or more, I think you are o.k. with where it has been. Good luck and I hope you feel better soon.

As long as everything has been "normal" in your pregnancy so far the 2 Tylenols every 6 hours would be just fine. I would start the Tylenols now and if in 2-3 days you aren't getting back to normal with the fever I would go back to your doctor.
If you are still a little scared/nervous about taking the Tylenols- it never hurts to call your doctor and ask.

Taking 2 regular strength tylenol is okay for you and the baby. If you present with no fever but still feel warm inside it is because of all those pregnancy hormones. Try using a cool washcloth on you forehead. You can take the tylenol, but I would only recommend if you feel uncomfortable, or if your fever goes back up. By the way how did you take your temp? For adults the best way is by mouth, but if you did it under your arm make sure you add one degree.

Not a nurse, but if you've read anything about pregnancy, you'll know that your hormones go out of wack. Try not to take any pills, but try to cool yourself down by putting cold washcloth on your head and drinking LOTS of water. I had something similar to that, and I shrugged it off as heatstroke (it stayed with me for a week or so). Try to stay out of the sun and hydrate yourself to keep your temperature level, but try to keep your body as covered as you can to avoid sudden temperature drops. If the thermometer says that you're at an average temperature, then you are. If you have any worse symptoms (vomiting, diarrhea, fever persisting for more than a week, uncontrollable sweating, shaking, etc.), then visit a doctor again. If you MUST take Tylenol though, try to take half the recommended dose and dilute with plenty of water and try to rest a lot.

I'm not a nurse, but the hospital is full of 'em. I don't know and even if I did know it would only be a guess. Just call or go to the doctor if you have any concerns. God bless and congrats on your new little one.

Go back to the doctor if you are still feeling ill. They need to do more testing.
