You may want to take it to a glass shop,it won't cost much. You are taking a chance on breaking the glass or cutting yourself if you try to use a blade and pry it off.

will pop off with a little pressure from a single blade razor held by a scraper that is available at your local hardware store in the paint dept. Or use a thin bladed putty knife. Do not use too much pressure or can crack the window. Gentle persistence persistently applied works best.

the metal piece does come out of it,,it has a small Allen screw in it that releases it,,and you can glue just it back up,,you need to clean it really good with alcohol,,before you try gluing it back on ,, its really hard to get the window clean enough to hold,,but you can do it,, just take your time,,and don't do it in the sun light,,i own a repair shop and have done a lot of these before, try to get it back as close as possible to where it was to start with,,,,let it set up,,for at least an hour before you put the mirror back on it,,then it should be OK,,i hope this help,s,,,good luck with it.

generally they are not suppose to be removed...try fingernail polish remover and allow it to seep behind..also you might try a single edge razor blade but be careful

hone the putty knife to a razor edge first, and tap it lightly.
