You are describing the effect of a carpal bone being out of its normal position.. it will create a catch with a rather sharp pain and it is sufficient to prevent weight bearing. If you are not able to reduce it yourself, may want to see a Doctor of Chiropractic.. is a very simple maneuver. I see this problem quite frequently and the treatment is very effective

It sounds like Carpal Tunnel, but considering the pinching feeling (no numbness or tingling?) you might have something else going on. I'd see a doctor and have him do x-rays of your wrists to make sure everything is in place, no hidden fractures, etc. Good luck!

I think it is called carpal tunnel and you should see a doctor about it, it can only get worse. They give you something to wear on your wrist. I get it from typing at times.

sounds to me like its beggining stages of carpal tunnel. to relieve the pain. i sudjest you wear a brace for a while. if you dont treat it soon it can progress to great pain and you have a costly surgery which is performed but the surgery does make you feel better but even after you wear the brace.
