I think the way this forum is set up, it allows some to be hostile and aggressive. It gives them a chance to be rude and ugly when in the real world they probably spend a lot of time covering up those feelings. We also have people who did not learn how attractive manners are both on line or off line. They like to make them self feel 'big' by making another person feel small. Sad, yes, but to be expected with human nature being what it is.

It is stupid for people to do that, but a lot of people get mad because the same person will post the same question over and over, or use this site to play around when there are others that genuinely need help. Like someone the other night asked if smoking pot was dangerous to an unborn baby. If someone is stupid enough to ask a question like that they deserve rude answers!

I don't know. Have you asked any questions that some people might find offensive? I'm quite sure they would never receive a "Best Answer".
People seem to be so angry and negative, I can't understand either. Perhaps its the war in Iraq or maybe the election
Just ignore the hostility and agree with the best.

i think there is room for all
you can't have free speech if everyone agrees, or is too polite
i try to answer in a polite, respectful way to questions that seem to matter to someone - because it feels right to me
i also enjoy the jokes, the dark-side, the noobs, the hacks, the idiots, the misunderstandings and offensives ...
because sometime they are funny and show a good sense of "black-humour" ...
and sometimes they help to put the love, the soul, the passion and compassion into sharp relief
.

I don't know, but perhaps they've posted a question a here and they recieved rude answers, so in return they start to post rude answers thinking that it's fine. But i feel that that if people dont have a serious relevant answer to a serious question, then they shouldn't bother posting an answer, because they're wasting their's and everyone's time.

Excellent question!!! I was pondering this earlier I guess because people are rude. Sometimes i think they make assumptions based on your avatar. There have been several occasions I have removed a question because people are so rude
I really think some people just like to say mean things. You cant prove your sincerity to some people

Don't be so sensitive, the world is full of kind, caring people and morons and idiots so why should this site be any different?
Just take onboard that which you like and reject the rest. You are in control of your life, no one else and so if you let idiots upset you then you are handing control over to them.
Just cool your emotions and have a relaxing and happy life, or put another way - SOD THE BAST*RDS!!

I think they're bored and can't think of something better to do at the moment, or think they'll get a big reaction. Some people are just negative, too, and it's probably an outlet for some of that.

I think some people give rude and offensive replies, simply because it is their 10 seconds of fame, so to speak, and what better way to get noticed and manage to make an impression (albeit a bad one, but still), than to curse, shout and brawl?
