I have a broad interest when it comes to music, anything with a chilled out sound is a winner with me, but I love discovering new artists and I am open to suggestions, what artists/albums would you recommend and why? I would love to know what does it for you.

This is the mid west and we like country music. The big stars right now are the Dixie Chicks, Carrie Underwood is from here.
A home town girl and a great singer.
But, for awsome men is Billy Currington, Must be doing something right. &Why, Why, Why.
We do our exercises to:Patti Laballe, New Attitude
Ok she gets one; Blondie: Call Me & One way or Another
We like some of Madona but she is forbidden territory, the folks say we can't watch her on TV, listen to her music or have her CD
Do you ever listen to country music?

I have really gotten into Corrine Bailey Rae. When I first heard her, I said she sounded "lazy" with the way she sings. Then I realized that I liked it- a lazy confidence with really nice singer-songwriter tunes.

Chris Isaak has a laid-back sound, as does Jack Johnson. I like Isaak when I'm in a quirky mood, and I like Jack Johnson when I just want to feel good.

Maxwell is my favorite R&Ber, and he's finally coming out with a new album on Valentines Day. It doesn't get any smoother.

You might like James Liddel. Check out Later with Jools Holland (or something like that)- it's a British show that displays all sorts of music.

David Gray's new album "Life in Slow Motion" is THE perfect chilled out sound. He's by far my favorite modern artist. His songs are so full of emotion and poetry. I feel the most like myself when I listen to his music.

Happy listening!

I would recommend KLF's "Chill Out" album. I still have my 16-year-old vinyl sitting readily available.
Alternatively, why not try Jam & Spoon's "Tripomatic Fairytales 2002".
Anything by Enigma or Massive Attack is usually a safe bet as well.

Oh my, my music interests are broad also. It all depends on my mood. Some days I like Christain music or Eminem. Other times Madonna or Jack Johnson. Or it could be Shakira or Faith Hill. Other times Paris Hilton or Classical ...lol ..and that's to name a few.
