My sister has a painful abdominal bulge near her groin. She has had a colonoscopy - all is normal. It feels like a sausage under her skin, and is painful when she walks. It is located approximately 6 inches above her leg on her left lower quadrant. She can not stand straight. It is more painful after activity, and after a bowel movement. Dr says is not a hernia.

She had 2 surgeries in August this year, 1 to repair a hernia just under her rib cage in midline of body and 1 to remove her gall bladder. This bulge appeared approximately 1 month after she returned home from last surgery. She says this pain is similar to pain from earlier hernia.

She has drs appt monday, oct 23. Any questions she should ask dr or possible conditions she should discuss?

Please help!! This is stressing us all out, because the drs act like she is crazy, but I can fell this lump.

Thank you for your input.

Blessed be,

Gypsy

Sorry to hear, that sounds painful. Don't budge for a doctor that tells you it's nothing. Obviously a protruding bulge is something. I don't want to alarm you, but to be sure, first rule out cancer or a tumor of any kind. Then once that's ruled out and you can't get the answer you need from your current doctor, check for a second opinion until you get the problem resolved. I had a minor but ongoing health problem that many doctors said it was normal while I was suffering the pain, until I visited this one doctor that made a difference in my life and now I'm fine.

I hope she gets better soon, keeps us posted.

It may be something called a bunched muscle. it's when after a surgery a muscle contracts and will not stretch. Also a girl from my school once administered a tampon wrong and it attached it self just under her belly button. The doctors removed it and all is well also they said it had never happened to anyone he'd seen before. it could be a possibility though.

My ex-girlfriend had a bulge simliar to that, but it was not so pronounced. Turned out she was constipated. But the doctor said that the other possibility before the end result was determined was that it could have been an Ectopic pregnancy, which is a when conception occurs in the fallopian tubes. But that wasn't possible, unless she was cheating on me, because we weren't sexually active.

You already recognise this, however pass see a health practitioner! If we had been all medical professionals on right here, we should not have every time to be in this internet site answering questions for strangers... so if I had been you i might believe a authentic.
