Wait long enough to take responsibilty for anything bad that can happen ( STD's HIV or pregnancy). The worse thing is being young and in love and get pregnant it take your whole youth away from you. Sex have nothing to do with marriage but does have everything to do with responsibility.

When you're mature enough to
-handle the commitment that sex implies,
-take precautions to prevent the potential problems like pregnancy and diseases, etc.
-not turn into a mental wreck if your partner suddenly never calls, comes over any more, etc.
18 or over is probably the minimum for most people. Some aren't ready when they're over 30. None of this prevents most people from starting earlier than this, though.

There is no age...You just have to make sure you are mature enough to take on the responsibilities that go along with it. I was in college when I had sex for the first time and I don't regret it at all because I totally loved the person and it was so special. Hope that you never regret that it should be kept special not just something you do to get out of the way.

At whatever age your are prepared financially and emotionally to raise a child for the next 18 years. Also remember, there is no cure for AIDS and some of the other STD's can cause sterility.
Stay true and save this precious gift for your marriage partner, you won't be sorry.

The best age for having intercourse is 18 years old but you can (not necessarily) have sex at 13 because your body is almost ready at that age.

I was 18 and out of high school. I highly recommend waiting until you are at least out of high school and in a commited relationship. High school should be a fun and carefree time!
