I'm 18 weeks prego and I've been eating food I normally dont eat like Pickles and LOTS of cheese! Yesterday I ate cottage cheese with crushed up barbeque chips in it. Every morning I eat Trix cereal which I normally dont eat. I eat alot better now that I'm prego than I ate before. Its actually kinda nice, weird things, but its nice. Congrats on your baby! Best of luck to you both!

First I have to ask you if you take prenatal vitamins. If you aren't, then you should...every day. If your craving is related to a deficiency, vitamins would probably help.
Most (most) cravings are ways for women to pamper themselves, because they CAN! :)))))
I really craved Spicy Hot V-8 juice during the first 2 months of pregnancy.
I just had my baby in feb, but when I was pregnant I craved ice cream, bought gallons, but never ever ate it. When the craving came, I drank skim milk instead.
I also craved cherry coke, and broccoli cheddar quiche. I had so much morning sickness that I really had more food aversions than cravings.

Bad as it may have been, I craved Pepsi when I was pregnant, which was awful, since you aren't supposed to have caffeine, as it can speed up the baby's heart rate and cause complications. They say that cravings are the bodys way of telling you when it needs. I was the same way tho. Couldn't eat my normal favorite foods, and stuff I usually hated, i couldn't get enough of. Thats just all part of being pregnant!!

I am not pregnant anymore just had the baby in Aug. but I could not look at or smell eggs or I would seriously throw up. Before I loved eggs, I still cannot stand to look at or smell them.
My main craving was to cook up some hamburger.. add taco seasoning.. and add bbq to it.. once thats done cooking throw it in a taco shell with cheese only.. wow.. that was awesome.. lol

I couldn't get enough fresh fruit or vegetables. I believe that you crave things that your body is low in. For example, if you crave steak its your body's way of telling you that you are low in iron. Although you could use this time as an excuse to get some yummy ice cream sundaes...hehehe
Congrats!

Plain doughnuts. And Velveeta Cheese Shells... couldn't get enough of 'em. Found out later they have like 40% of the RDA of Calcium, Folate and Iron... the three key things you need to increase while you're pregnant. Go figure.

I craved salad and fruit. I couldn't eat pizza, lunch meat, or mexican food. The smell of any of those just turned my stomach. I was also one of those unfortunate women whose sickness lasted my whole 9 months.

Mine was burnt (and i mean really burnt!) toast with salad cream (I really wanted mayo, but you're not allowed that coz of the egg in it, so i improvised) marmite and salt and vinegar frisps (crisps)
oooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhh, the memory is heaven, but there's no way i could eat that now!
