The other day i was bending down to unplug my computer when i lost my balance and when I went to brace myself my hand went on my leather chair and my thumb went right into the chair. My thumb did not bruise or swell up. Instead it just felt kinda stiff at the base of it. At first I thought I just stoved it, but other people said I jammed it. This happened on Monday and it is now Friday and my thumb feels like it is back to normal. There is one sore spot on the base of my thumb, but it is not very painful. I bowled on sat and and felt great with no pain at all. Is my thumb just bruised on the inside at the spot where i jammed it?

Yes.
I jammed one of my thumbs over 25 years ago. For the most part I don't have any trouble with it. But every once in a while it will get stiff but no pain. It just wont bend correctly. I then have to pop it to get it back into place properly.

though it will be painful the jam will heal in a week or 2. regardless of you do do no longer attempt to pop or releave the rigidity on your thumb or in the different finger. this may bring about breaking you finger. i develop into in a nationwide qualifier journey and that i jammed my center finger to I tryed to tug at my figer and my coach warned me that through doing this you could extremely spoil some thing!! shop at it!!
