E-tickets are booked online and printed off at home. It's basically an electronic reservation (the airlines electronic record that you have a reservation). When you get to the airport, it's easier to check in with an E-ticket, all you need is a major credit card and your state-issued ID. No paper ticket required (but I always bring my e-ticket printout just as a precaution).

Yahoo Travel is very reliable, as are the other travel sites: Expedia.com, Orbitz.com, and any of the major airline websites. I usually book directly with the airline to earn extra Frequent Flyer miles. You can save a lot of money booking online, as opposed to booking with a travel agent.

Have a great trip!

You buy the ticket(s) on line and then when you get to the airport you check your bags at the curb and then go to the airline area. You put your credit card in the machine follow the direction and you ar issued a boarding pass.
I have used Yahoo travel and have not experienced any problems.

electronic ticket is what it is called e-tickets.it is much more convenient .while booking the ticket you just get the print out of your itenerary and even if you dont have that print out with you ,when you are at airpot, you dont have to worry about it you just have to show your passport and your ticket info will be in the computer system.you dont have to handle it like the way you handle paper ticket .and yahoo travel is relaible .i have used it several times. but if you can book your ticket direct through the airline's website . you will save money. good luck!

The first anwser is about the best . The only thing I have to add is I went thought yahoo.com traval and it took me to expetia.com, they had me fill out the whole thing and put in my Credit card # then it charged me an extra 20-25 dollors per tickit for a ####### service fee. Pissed me off.
