We're doing our creative piece in English and I would like to do mine as if I was a female attending the Woodstock Festival 69'. Classic rock is what interests me most so I thought it would be fun if I wrote about one of the best rock festivals. What do you think of this idea? Thanks for your help!

It doesn't have to have a "meaning"...it can be purely for entertainment purposes...though, my teacher did say that those grading my piece might have a hard time comprehending that.

Every piece of writing needs to have an objective and meaning. I suggest you think about format and build from there. Are you going to write in the form of a short story? A newspaper article? A series of journal entries? From there, you can get into character development. Figure out WHO is telling this story. Once you've got those things figured out you can get into your research about Woodstock and what actually happened there.

I teach English and I would be happy to receive this project IF I knew that the student had put time and effort into developing the form and content. I wouldn't be happy if I just got a random hodge-podge of thoughts and facts about Woodstock, or if the writer's voice and purpose weren't clear.
