I love Carrie Underwood's "Before He Cheats", but there's one little part that gets to me.
She sings about how she "carved my name into his [car's] leather seats."
I mean, the guy would probably guess it was her, but does she have to give him, like, confirmation for the police and insurance company?
I'm not the only one bugged by that...right?

She's pretty much asking to get arressted. If you're going to vandalize or destroy the jerk's property you're supposed to be sure to leave no traces behind that would lead to it being you and if he calls up all like "what the heck did you do?!" you could be like, "what do you mean? I would never do something like that? Are you okay? You seem like you're losing it a little. I'll be sure to pray for you."
And then you hang up and you smile and you put on your sunglasses and leave the house to find your new man.
I kind of took that one too far.

you have a good, point, but its still just a song, so im just gona enjoy the song and not let it bug me. in fact, im gonna go put the cd in right now.

I can certainly see your point, but I think it fits in well with the song, it's one of my current favorite songs. Girl power! (hehe) She probably says it just to add more OOMF to it, you know?
