I have had 2 C-sections (2002 & 2005). My doctor said to wait 6 weeks for intercourse and other physical activities. However, everybody is different. You should decide when it feels right to get back into your old routine. My advice would be to talk to your doctor before changing anything though.

I had a C-section with my first, and it's true, you don't want to do too much too soon -- even with a V-birth. But, there are some simple exercises you can do to help you get back into the swing of things. Try searching: post natal C-section exercises. I think there are some in the back of the first or second What to Expect book, too.

Wait until your 6 week check-up. Let your doctor know that you want to start working out then. Let the doctor decide if it's ok. You're feeling loads better mostly because you're not pregnant anymore. I had a c-section, also, and I overdid it a little too early. I ended up with a slight infection because the incision wasn't healing correctly.

Just relax for another 2 weeks or so. You should restrain from most physical activities for at least 6 weeks. Just to be safe

watch out mamma. give yourself at least 6 weeks even though you feel good. definitely don't want a UTI at all! i did and man, no fun! just use this time as an excuse for relaxing. you will have plenty of time to get into shape. remember what your body just did?! takes 2 years to get back to where it all was. good luck and congrats!

you can start now if your stitches are gone. just be careful not to put too much stress on your incision. it will take some time for it to regain it's strength. and even tho you say the pain is gone now, if you overdo it you could hurt yourself again and be laid back in bed for another couple of weeks. just use caution and if you notice any pain or discomfort, stop and take a rest. and congrats on your baby!!!

First of all congrats on the little one! I would say that you should probably give it another month, or talk to your doctor. Just because you don't feel it now doesn't mean you won't later.
