I have the original "Mistress Anne" novel by Temple Bailey printed in 1917. How much is this worth or where can I find that out? Thanks!

I am an antique book collector, and often sell them to the public as well. I can safely say that if your book is in very good condition, it can be worth upwards of $120 , as Mistress Annie is somewhat rare. If it is in worse condition it may only be worth $50 or less.

Is it a first edition, first printing? If it is go to the Sothbey's and Christie's auction house websites and check with them. They have experts on every subject. Also, check with several different rare booksellers either in person or online and preferably both. Get several different estimates, because booksellers and buyers are basically just as greedy as the next guy. Don't sell to cheap, but don't hold out for the best price unless you find a serious collector who really wants the book.

I'm not familiar with that book. Printed in 1917? It might be worth
$500 to $4,000. Type Book Finder into your browser. Also type that book's name into it. Then see what pops up and what it costs on Amazon. That might give you some idea. But if you have it, keep it!

a good way to see how much something is worth is to look it up on ebay, and "check the completed items" box. However most old books arnt worth all that much. I have medical books from the 1800's, i bought them at a yardsale for $5, and thats about how much they are worth, Only specific, highly desirable books are worth money. Your's is on ebay now for $45 buy it now, so you will not likely get more than that for it. *unless it is in much better condition than the one for $45.

Any items, including books, are only worth what someone is willing to give you for it.

Several net searches found copies in good condition selling for as little as $5.00 to $10.00.

Very good, but without dust jacket for $50.00.
