The lights come on and the battery is charged FULL. My headphones work. And the ipod was working about 1 hr ago. What is wrong how can I fix it?

Id say take it to your local ipod store, you can find out where they are by going to ipods web site before doing so though try using a different pair of headphones though I cant say how many times thats happened to me.

Maybe the headphones blew?

I'd take it back to wherever you got it from and let somebody look at it or see if you can get a new one

let the battery run down until it is completely empty, then recharge it. thats how i mended my i-pod!
(but then i dropped it anyway) : (

check your hearing, if that doesn't work then go to an apple store.
