I'm thinking of doing an essay on this book that i have only read half of. I'l be comparing it to "Catcher in the rye". Should I even bother reading this book because I don't want to have to waist time.
I need to add that it is a 3500 word essay on a topic of my choice.... I was heading towards the theme of real and sureal imagery, any better ideas?

You should take the time to read it. I had read it several times since Jr high school (in the 70s). Its very good and makes you thnk about choices you make in life. The movie is very good as well if you can find it.
