i respect michael jordan and all but did he retire because he didnt' want his career points per game average to drop since he was starting to age? most of his ppg averages were high 20s and low to mid 30s, and his last season, he averaged like 20ppg. and if he kept playing it might have went lower, so is that why he retired?

in '93, MJ retired because he knew he led the bulls to the nba title. so every one on the bulls said they led the bulls to the championship and they said MJ didnt. So MJ retired to see how well they could do with out him and they didnt do very well with out him so that goes to show MJ is the man.

The funny thing is he went to the Wizards. He could've chose to go to a contender and win a 7th ring.
