Walmart may be the biggest department store, but for who? I'm run over by all kinds of people when I go there. Not so at Target.

Walmart has lower prices. If you don't have a lot of money, where are you going to go?

That's because NOBODY really goes to Target! When you don't have the money, or even if you do have the money, WalMart is the place to go. People from all walks of life go to WalMart because of the great deals. Whether you're single, married, have a life partner, or a single parent like me, WalMart is my store. I've been shopping at WalMart for years and never been run over. But you get bumped around at Target(and they're rude, too!). Say what you will, but the majority of us are WalMart shoppers and we're proud of it !:). By the way, the way things are going, there is no middle class, dear. Either you have it, or you don't. People are people. It's the way that you carry yourself.

You must be working at Target...
I prefer Wal-mart. I pay lower prices, and always find what I am looking for.
I have left Target on several occasions disappointed with the lack of variety they offer

It isn't a class thing my town doesn't have a target only a Walmart.
I didn't think there was a middle class anymore.

I personally don't like Target, and would never step foot into one of their stores, money a factor or not.

I go to both and people of all classes go to both stores where I live. Wal-mart is cheaper though.

Because Walmart offers better deals on jumbosized food for fat folks by using products made by slave labor in China
