i want to play nba live and need for speed

Depends on what you like. I wouldn't get the gamecube because they are probably going to stop making games for it soon because of the Wii. I wouldn't get the PS2 either because the PS3 is coming out soon, but they probably wills till make games for it. I have a PSP and I enjoy it alot. The graphics are just like a PS2 and it can do alot of things other gaming systems can't do.

Of the three listed I would go with the Gamecube. It is the least expensive and has better graphics than the PS2. Plus, Nintendo has the best line of 1st party games in my opinion. It is the only system you can play Zelda, Metroid Prime, and any Mario game such as Mario Golf or Mario Cart. Overall, the best system for the price. There is also the XBox. Another great system with great 1st party games such as Halo and Project Gotham Racing.
Do not forget, they have the 2nd Genration of game systems out to, XBox 360 is here and the Nintendo Wii and PS3 are right around the corner. Nov 19th for Wii and Nov 17 for PS3 (Dates may have changed since I last looked). On the Wii you will be able to play any game realsed by Nintendo susposedly. This feature alone has me signing up for pre-order.
Best of luck in picking your gaming machine. In the end, you cannot go wrong because all the systems are great and each offer their own original series of games.

PS2, those francises will be on there in their latest version, and (despite my love for it) the Gamecube is a dead system.
Oh, and the PSP is just a waste of money.

ps2... not only does it look better than the gamecube, but it also can do better than psp.

PS2 would be your best bet. I'd save my pennies and get a PS3 when they come out though.

It depends. Do you like nitendo games more (Mario, Zelda, Pokemon) or others (Final Fantasy, Sports etc.) If I were you I would definetely buy ps2..

Those other systems are wack just get the PSP it is the best system that a man could have.

game cube has the best games i think but ps2 is cool too
