Eliminate possibilities, and what remains is the solution.

OK a little more detail. Look for multiple numbers. If you have two 3's in the right hand boxes then you know what column the third 3 is in. If you look in the boxes to the left you and you see the other 3's then you can eliminate the other squares and you know what remains is the square with the 3. Another method is to count in the rows and columns. If every number is present in the column, row, and/or box except one, then that number is the solution. Also, say you have a row with three empty squares. You see that a 3 can't be the other squares, because there is 3's in the other columns and/or boxes with the other two squares, then it must be in the first square.

I suggest try the easy ones first, then you will see patterns develop. Then you can progress to harder ones.

You can chose easy to hard ones. If you get stuck you can get the solution.

First i put ALL possibilities at the top of each small box in really small writing. Then when im done, i slowly start to solve the puzzle by eliminating the possiblities. It might not work for you, but after a couple puzzles, it should help.

it's all a process of eliminating the possibilities, and getting down to just one option per square.
As you fill in the easier, obvious ones, they eliminate possibilites in other squares.
I usually use the following order:
numbers (squares)
rows & columns
cubes (9 squares)
