Depends on which sense of "magnify" you're using:
1. To make greater in size; enlarge.
ANTONYMS = "shrink, decrease, reduce, diminish"
2. To cause to appear greater or seem more important than is in fact the case; exaggerate
ANTONYMS = "understate, minimize, play down"
3. To increase the *apparent* size of, especially by means of a lens.
ANTONYM = "demagnify"
(Sorry, this one doesn't have a lot of options; 'telescope' is tempting, but not accurate)
4. To glorify or praise.
ANTONYMS = "belittle, insult, defame, deprecate, denigrate, dishonor, disparage, put down"

In general: Shrink, diminish, minimise.
However, for the specific meaning of magnify with a microscope or lens, there is no one word the opposite of magnify.
We say: Produces an image smaller than the object, or some other similar phrase.
