I dont judge people on these things, but it does say in the bible its an abomination. That doesnt mean you are going to hell. You will just have to stop what you are doing and pray for forgivness. Just Change your life style.

First of all, what is "hell?" For most religions, hell is a place of eternal torment and damnation. In other words, endless horrible suffering. This is what is taught to us by some religious leaders that have their own interpretations of their holy books.
Now, let's think logically about this. Would you condemn your greatest enemy (if you have any) to eternal pain and suffering? Most likely not. Why? Because we are creatures of compassion in the end. Sure, we get angry, and sometimes want revenge, but never would we be capable of maintaining continous suffering on someone on purpose. In time, we would feel sorry for such a person and stop the torment. Now, do you think a being that is far more superior and loving would do this, if we lowly humans can't do it?
Now going back to religion. With the Bible, there are interpretations of hell, but confused interpretation. Look at Revelations. There is scripture that mentions that Hell and Death will be cast into the Lake of Fire. What would that mean? Also, with the stories of people dying and being resurrected (as in the case of Lazarus), no one has mentioned that they saw heaven or hell during the time of death. Then there are the sermons of Jesus who mentioned how "fire" is used for total destruction.
Hell, comes from an old German word "heolle." This comes from the story that Jesus mentioned of "Gehenna." Gehenna was a walled city that kept fires going outside one wall to burn garbage and dead criminals. Coals were thrown in to maintain the fires. You see, fire is the ultimate destroyer of anything physical. Apply this to what I mention earlier and you might see that Death is a state of non-existence.....no memories, no feelings.....nothing. Kind of like a deep sleep. If this is true, then the only hope is the resurrection to bring us back, which is mentioned in Revelations. Those that are not resurrected are gone forever. This is hell, or the grave.
Now, the Bible condemns homosexuality. If you're a believer in the Bible, than you have a problem. If you're really trying to change (like a drug user trying to stop drugs) but stumble, and feel guilty, pray, and keep struggling, then you may still have a chance for forgiveness. Your best bet is to keep from getting into these situations that cause you to slip, along with prayer to help guide you. This should help if you're serious on trying to stop.
God be with you if you're trying to change. With His help, you can succeed, but you have to want it.

No, you're not going to hell. The Bible says a lot of things. It's an abomination to eat oysters or shrimp or catfish. Really, look it up. It says so in the Bible. I think people who hate gay people will go to hell, though. Because it's evil to hate people who do nothing to harm you.
If you are truly bisexual, then you can enjoy sex with males as well as females. If you really believe that having sex with people of the same gender is wrong, then have sex with people of the opposite gender. But remember, the Bible says you have to married. Look it up in leviticus. There are some serious penalties for sex outside of marriage.

If you don't believe in God's everlasting love and the forgiveness that God grants sinners, then I would have to say that you have already answered your own question and to think that bisexuality or homosexuality is not natural for those born that way and with those attractions and emotional connections makes it sound more like you're trying to make a point and not ask a question.Your point? To say that bisexuality and homosexuality is a sin.Why are you making this point?Because you're trying to spout hate in a deceptive way.Deception is sinful.

Your biggest problem is that you believe that the Bible 'clearly' says that homosexuality is an abdomination. Two perhaps three passages speak out harshly but those comments are contained within a book/achapter written by a prophet who was clearly against sex in general writing out against marrying widowed sisters and other acts. If you are truly upset about offending God based on passages in the Bible then you will spend Sunday in contemplative silence (NO FOOTBALL) and toss away any portraits of Jesus or crucifixes becauses there is a very clear clause about 'graven images.'
How you choose to live your life is YOUR Choice. The Bible is a compilation of history & ideas collected by various writers over several centuries. Most sane rational people use it as a guide, suggestions for living.
If you choose to be scared that is YOUR choice - - - why chose to be miserable & unhappy unless you are seeking martydom?
Peace...
PS Try to actually read The Bible, the so called Old Testement, the true Testement, and don't rely on the words of some bigoted Evangelical Christian...

First of all, please don't listen to all these bigotted people of think they know it all. Secondly, someone said it says in the bible that homosexuality is a sin, well it says the same thing about eating shellfish, so I hope none of the "Christians" eat shellfish or they might be going to hell - at least based on their beliefs.
It is OK to be who you are. Personally I don't believe in hell and I believe that God loves EVERYONE. Just care for others and find someone in life you truly love!

Well, i do feel that it is unnecessary to say "hell" in most situations..AND ALL of us Americans do not do it. Its very generalizing. I am American and we are not ALL about John Wayne. That was a long time ago and not in this generation. We do not all ride horses and shoot bow and arrow. That is an old stereo type of Americans. Its sort of saying all Brits have bad teeth..NOT all Brits have bad teeth.. I suppose a small population does..but not ALL.

The Bible doesn't single specific types of people (ex.: bisexual, gay, etc.) and say that they're going to go to hell. It simply says: ". . .believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved. . ." (Acts 16:31). If you don't do that, you're going to go to hell.
And why pray for forgiveness after you do whatever you do again and again if you're just doing to do some other homosexual act later. The whole purpose of asking forgiveness for something is so you can be forgiven and move on--not be forgiven and do it all over again.

hey- i'm in the same boat as you, i was raised baptist and went to a christian school..if my paretns found out that i even fantasize about women..they would disown me for sure..the church they go to would tell them "tough love" cut her off then she;ll come back to realization. thing is i disowned religion when i was 18..i believe God created us this way as well, i don't know why..noone does, but we are who we are...and i'm scared as well of hell..if it s indeed a place of constant burning and wailing and nashing of teeth..like it says it is in revelations, but how can a God of love..also be so cruel? And what does the devil have against us? i mean..he supposedly was cast out of heaven for wanting to be like God..he made a choice to be his own identity instead of an angel who whoships him all day long...its ke god is on an ego trip or something....so why would the devil judge us? When he knows what judging is..when God judge him for his pride and cast him out of heaven? why would he make hell an awful place? we won't know answers to these questions i guess till we cross over to somewhere..but in the mean time, i would say live your life to the best you can, be who you are..try not to live in fear and hope for the best in the end...if you are going to hell for ahving bi urges or even indulging in the urges...then i'll see you there buddy..:) what can we do? it's who we are, can we be blamed for that? the bible says " men are not to love another man as he would a women.." you really can't love a man as a womenn, because the two are so different in personality and phsyical being, besides the bible was written by men..claimed men of God, inspired by him, but by man nontheless. if you can fall alseep at night feeling good about yourself, then i would just relax and try not to stress it too much. hope this helped you a little..knowing there are others out there.

It is pretty pathetic that we live in a world where a person like you is made to believe you are bad. As long as you can accept yourself for who you are and what you do, then do what makes you happy. As long as you are not hurting anyone or committing a crime then live your life the way you want to.
Many, many things have been written in the bible that were changed or updated over the years. It is just a matter of time before the verse about homosexuality being an abomination is changed.
I do believe there may be a God, but if your belief is making you so scared and ashamed of what you do, then maybe you need to reevaluate your relationship with Him or Her. No God in my book would ever want a child of his living a life of shame.
I know you don't want to hear that "we were born this way", but the truth is, you were. In my college human sexuality class, there were intensive studies done on the human brain and virtually all individuals that were homosexual showed the same brain patterns.
GOD supposedly made us, so he made you this way. Don't worry, just do what makes you happy and have a wonderful life!

Good question pal. Personally, I believe in God and I am going to say no. The big factor in this debate is whether or not gay people are born gay or are choosing to be gay. Since I believe gay people are born gay, this means God made you this way so why are you expected to be something you're not? If you notice, all the opponents of gay marriage also happen to believe people choose their sexuality. People need to get past the fact that sexuality is not chosen. I'm straight and its not as if I chose to be that way. Why is it any different with gays? Anyways, thats my two cents.
