for the last 17years i have worked with children/young people with compexed needs,I would like to contiue this work when i move to alicant spain, however i cannot speak spanish, i enjoy my working with young people. will I find work?

You will need to learn spanish which is not hard to learn. However have you thought about maybe starting a business doing the work you do now. However if you are not interested in starting your own business just go to the schools there and see if they will give you a chance to work. Good luck with this I have special needs children of my own and I for one can tell you if you have the patience to do this then you should not let language be a barrier. I advocate for special needs children as well as my own because they really need it. It's like they have no voice so I am the voice for them.

try doing a short course in TEFL(teaching English to foreign learners) this would enable you to at least earn while you pick up the language.
Alternatively you could do a language holiday where over the course of three or four weeks you could pick up the basics
