Christopher Biggins (born 16 December 1948 in Oldham, Lancashire) is a British actor well recognised on British television.

He played Nero in the acclaimed BBC dramatisation of I, Claudius by Robert Graves, having been selected for the role partly on the strength of a television commercial in which he had played a Roman emperor presiding over the games. He also appeared in the BBC's famed adaptation of Poldark. On children's television, he appeared in Southern Television's Brendon Chase, produced in 1980.

A comedy actor, he was also a regular character in the popular situation comedy Porridge starring Ronnie Barker. Other comedy shows he appeared in include Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads? (1973), Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em (1973 & 1978), and a regular role in the children's television programme Rentaghost (1978-1983) as supermarket manager Adam Painting.

He also appeared in the Big Finish Productions audio drama The One Doctor, based on the television series Doctor Who. His film roles include The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975). His theatre roles have included his recent performance in the stage adaptation of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

He was co-host on Surprise, Surprise and hosted children's quiz On Safari (TV) in the 1980s.

Biggins often appears on television as an expert on pantomime, and plays the dame most seasons.

He is a keen supporter of Derby County F.C. and enjoys meeting fellow fans. He currently lives in the fashionable Lauriston Village, by Victoria Park in Hackney, East London.

I hope this helps you a little.

Christopher Biggins was a terrific childrens entertainer in the 80s. I remeber I used to watch his On Safari game show in CITV (God I really do feel my age, thanks).

He has also been in many pantomimes over the years. And assisted Cilla on Surprise, Surprise.

If you have never heard of him, how old are you?

I do need to correct Anii - it was Timmy Mallett who had an itsy bitsy yellow polka dot bikini

Where have you been hiding?
Christopher Biggins is a jolly, fat, gay telly presenter from years ago. Back when Ant & Dec were in Grange Hill as PJ & Duncan.
He is usually to be seen around Panto time dressed in a huge wig, loads of make up , playing a panto dame. Not hugely funny for adults but kids like him.

Christopher Biggins is an actor, a lovely man, played the naughty vicar in Poldark years ago. He is a queen, and always plays the ugly sister in pantomimes each year. Fancy him?

He's a good fun "camp" actor. Used to be in Porridge with Ronnie Barker. He's done lots of TV, films & theatre. One of the best things I saw him in was playing a very seedy slightly past it entertainer in a play at a fringe pub theatre in Islington, I think the play was called "Spangles" but I'm not sure. Perhaps someone else can help.
