Why are there no signs that a war is going on in Iraq? There are little yellow ribbons and media accounts but there are no protests, no militia walking out streets, no rations. There is nothing happening here like Vietnam and WW2. Its just business as usual. The only time I see soldiers are at a parade and they are smiling.

wow!!! what a great question.its good to see someone out there is using their brain.so good in fact i don't think i can come up with a good enough answer.the only answer i could think of is,maybe people don't think it would matter.if you remember just before the last presidential election they did march in the streets by the millions against the war.but some how the president got more votes than any president in history.he pulled off a scam the first time he got elected, and i believe some how he pulled it off again the second time. so maybe people just don't think with this scam artist it would matter. but i believe we all should be protesting this entire administration.

You want protests, go to a military funeral. Those sleezers are at those. The reason we have no rations, is we are a wealthier nation than we were back then. We have our flag up (lighted 24/7), yellow "magnet" ribbons on our vehicles and our soldiers in our hearts. (we have 5 soldiers/sailors). The media should not be allowed anywhere near a war zone. What they tell us, the terrorists hear also...............WW2, loose lips, sink ships......we should hold true to that statement and gag the media.

hey stupid, gas prices went up because allot of out gas comes from the camel countries, iraq being one of the. i think (hopefully) we have all matured since nam. all the anti war protesters making fools of themselves, shown on tv and in newspapers.most people don't like war and don't want war, but sometimes it happens. so far our men and woman that have been fighting in this war and the past wars have made it possible to keep the wars off of our streets. when was the last time you saw a tank go down the street and blow a school away? not in the usa. so thank our troops for keeping the streets here clear of debrie, blood and dead bodies.

I am afraid that the spell cast by 9/11 have made the nation to tolerant of mis-deeds. It was the nations youth that led the way in 1970, where are they now. Have they been brow beat for so long that they are willing tolerate misdeeds by its leaders. I guess I just really don't know and I am not sure anybody has an answer.

What other signs do you need besides people dying, isn't that "sign" enough??? There isn't the 60's like protesting going on out in the street but now it's being done on the internet.
