"How much heat is needed to raise the temperature of 150.0 mL pure water from 20.0 degrees c to 100.0 degrees c?"

I know how to do the problem with mass, but how do I solve it with volume?

All these problems are solved using

Heat = m * Cp * DeltaT.

mass = density * volume

If you go beyond a phase change you will need to incorporate the heat or enthalpy related to that phase change.
