Alright, last year, the altenator in my car was replaced. The day that I cam to pick it up, the radio and alarm stopped working. There is nothing wrong with the fuses. What could be wrong.
If you do not know, don't reply.

When ever you remove the battery the code for the radio and the alarm must be .
When you install an altenator, the first step is to remove the + side of the battery. Call the dealer and get the radio code
The reason it does this so if the radio is riped out of the dash and stolen, with out the program code the radio is useless.
As to weather the alarm has a code or not depends on who made the alarm.
Viper alarms are the best because without the code you cant reset it to turn it off and it just keeps going off till the battery runs down.

What is the year and make of your car? That would definitely help. Even as a Auto Technician, it is hard just to KNOW what is wrong with a vehicle especially with electrical issues. Here is what I can tell u from the information u have given. Usually on newer vehicles, there may be 2,3 or even 4 separate fuse boxes. Make sure you check ALL of the fuses as some fuses that protect what they say they do may also protect other components as well. The only other issue you may have is the possibility of wires being crossed upon installation causing a short circuit to these components or even the possibility they just have to be reset or reprogrammed if they have security settings. Hope this helps and good luck!

If it is an after market alarm , the installer may have used the same ground wire as the radio and when they installed the alternator , your ground wire got disconected somehow . Anyway , I would have brought it right back to the people who installed the alternator , Because they are the ones that screwed it up in the first place . I hope this helps , goodluck .

Depends on the car, but sometimes when you disconnect the battery, like they do when they replace the alternator, the radio has to be reset. Some alarms are part of the radio circuit. So it makes sense for you to contact a dealer and see if that's the case with your car.

Somehow, some wiring got disconnected. You should have taken it back immediately after the alternator was replace.
