Yes, but they have a reputation that got the better of them.

The fact that the spectacle got caught on TV made suspensions inevitable. Some of what happened also went beyond self-defense.

If you really want to blame someone, blame the person at UM that scheduled FI. That isn't much of a football game to begin with. What did FI have to lose by doing what they did? They probably feel like they won by inflicting a punishment on UM.

Yeah, I guess it was FIU's fault that one Miami player took his helmet off and used it as a weapon and another one decided to stomp on the back of an FIU player's legs.

i guess. but the canes are taking so much heat from it because they get in fights every year.
