Get an egg, a piece of paper and a pencil. Place the egg on the paper and trace the outline of the egg onto the paper with the paper. Viola! An elliptical circle. In other words, an oval.

Elliptical means oblong or oval. A perfect circle would be round, maybe circumferential even. So, I guess what you are trying to say is that only 5% are perfectly round and the other 95% are oblong/elliptical

A circle viewed from any angle other than along the line perpendicular to its center. Or, to state it another way, a circle viewed from any position that is not equidistant from every point on the circle. (Excluding of course any line of view that passes through the circle twice. From that perspective the circle would appear as a straight line.)
