See when someone wants to be successful in life with there product. You would do every thing in your power to stop them from being successful. How? First not buying what they work so hard to do. Who knows maybe that way of thinking might come back on you. I think that would be good.

Maybe because it doesn't sound interesting?

Why would you not want someone to be successful? How could you stop them?

What are you talking about? Who knows?

Not everyone is going to be interested in the book that you wrote. It sounds like you are bitter because you put all of your hard work into writing the book and no one was interested in it enough to buy it. The problem you face is that you are not selling yourself enough. Selling a book is a business like any other kind of business if you don't sell it no one will buy it. But being bitter is not the way to go because it is not going to get anyone to buy your book. Being friendly and selling is what will get your book out there. No one is stopping you from succeeding but you. And frankly if I did everything in my power to see that someone was unsuccessful I would pick someone I hated a lot.

My friend wrote this book: "Post-Analytic Tractatus (Ashgate New Critical Thinking in Philosophy)". I don't think I would understand a word of it if I tried to read it. I'd rather take him out for a nice meal - Philosphers tend to be poor and hungry.
I wouldn't expect him to read the papers I publish on advanced computational optics either...

Just because someone did something (or wrote something) that I could purchase or invest in to help them does not determine whether or not I will proceed. I want to share the interest. I would never buy something just to help someone else succeed. It would misrepresent my values.
