Since the likelyhood of man developing on another planet multiplied by the chances of us being able to recogniose him as a being multiplied by the chances of us being in existence multiplied by the chances of us both existing in the same time slot .....its all a bit ridiculous isn't it?

1) It is 'ufologist'
2) Einstein didnt teach us to think in 4 dimensions
3) Given the expanse of the Universe, the likelyhood of another species - similar in technology to us - existing somewhere else, and at the same time as us, is quite high (I think it was Carl Sagan who did the probability maths on it)
4) your question is confused and slightly ridiculous

**please note, Just because I pointed out your errors does not mean that I believe that aliens from another planet have ever visited earth.

Ever heard of Drakes Equation?
Under Drakes Equation you divide the number of stars in a selected portion of the Universe by the number of stars that are likely to have planetary systems that could theoretically support life; Divide that by the number on which life, having arisen, advances to a state of intelligence; and so on.
At each division the number shrinks colossally yet even with the most conservative inputs the number of advanced civilisations just in the milky way always works out to be in the millions.
Also heres a thought, the stealth fighters design is 30 years old.
If thats what was new 30 years ago what do current cutting-edge aeroplanes look like?(ufo`s?)

I'll poach Carl Sagans' words.

The universe is so large, and been going for so long, if we are the only ones in it.

Then that is an awefull waste of space.

There are more than 4 dimentions, there are (at least) 5 and theoretically around 12.

If you think there are (estimated to be) ten sextrillion (US sextrillion that is) stars.
i.e. 10000000000000000000000 stars.

Chances are anything that might happen will be happening somewhere out there.
