yes i think it is not fair, but unfortunately in this society, money makes the world go 'round. You don't even have to be a celebrity to have big bucks. Just flash money in people's faces and they will act like your best friend and you don't need any special talents either. Those celebrities may be filthy rich, but they are not truly content. Peace.

The public makes them think they are special. They shouldn't get any perks, awards or special treatment. All they do is entertain. Entertainment is important, but not the most important. I would love the see an awards show for the fireman of the year or the emt that saved a child, or a cop that arrested a child molester. They are the ones who deserve the perks, not the Hollyweirdo's. We need to set caps on the money they can make, and give the rest to those who really deserve it. Tom Cruise may get $20 million per movie, but, can he save a life?

Yes, I completely agree.
Take the example of Madonna. She took a child from a place where her Father did not want to give her away but he was powerless to stop her. Because of her fame and her money, she has been allowed to defy all the laws of that country which include:
Potential adoptive parents must live and have a residence within the area of the child.
Does Madonna fit this bill? Nope. Of course she doesn't as she is currently sitting cosy in a multi million Mansion in London.
But it's okay if some kid has been snatched unlawfully from their parent right ... because it's Madonna. This goddess like creature with tons of cash and a singing career so she can do whatever the hell she wants. Right?
Well I, like you, believe that celebrities should not get special treatment at all as it goes against the equal rights of every one. It just goes to show what a messed up place society is becoming. We view these people as 'special' when they are born like us and die like us and are equal like us.
Remember:
Celebrity's material objects and houses and clothes may be better than our material objects and houses and clothes. This does not mean that they are better PEOPLE than us.

Yes it is.
It makes me sick to see them throwing their weight about and flashing huge amounts of cash which they basically get for doing sod all.
There are people in this country slogging away at 60 hour weeks and not earning half as much as these toerags earn.
I really couldn't care less about most of them - especially the WAGs, the BB rejects, the likes of Paris Hilton etc who don't actually have any talent or any justification for being famous.
I'm far more interested in certain actors or musicians who I feel are very talented and whose work I enjoy. But they are usuallynot the "celeb" types.

you're right, but i think that although everybody's got a lot of talents inside, it's just a few people who get the opportunity to reach stardom. it's all about getting a chance to actually show people what you can do, once you do that you're known all over the neighbourhood, then city, then state............and so on till you become a worldwide celebrity. good luck!!!
and btw: PARIS HILTON IS NOTHING BUT A RICH B***** WITH NO TALENT AND NO BRAINS.

well its a price they all pay.
I would not want to be Paris Hilton for anything.
Most Adults think that she is a skinny brat that really needs to do something "greater" than the image she has in her own mind.
There is a huge world that SHE can help change for the better and yet all we hear about is her boyfriends, dogs and bad TV shows or Cd's. At least the other one built a hotel....

How can Paris Hilton be your "arch nemesis" when I suspect she doesn't even know you exist?

Yes, it is very unfair! They are just people like you and me...well with more money and recognized by everybody, but that doesn't mean they are better persons, or have more or better rights. They should have to wait in line like the rest of us mortals...

clearly you have to make a distinction between talented celebrities - like moi - who deserve lashings of special treatment all the time forever more because we are so special and make such a valuable contribution to society and worthless talentless liggers, I name no names but you can spot them a mile off
