my daughter who is now 6 used to love love love as an infant the song ''itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polkadot bikini'' and she also loved when I would sing some commercial about a toilet cleaner, dont remember which though.

How cute!!!! My son has a ghost Halloween decoration thing, That shakes back and forth and sings The Monster Mash, He loves it as well! :-)
Anyway- My son likes to hear me 'sing'...And I do use the term sing lightly, A Raffi song, Called Banana Phone, It's THE most idiotic song I have ever heard, BUT, When it's sung to him, He can't help but laugh uncontrollably, Even when 2 seconds later, He's been screaming like a banshee!!!!
Crazy what you'll do to make a little one laugh eh!? :-)

Hello,
My twins, when I feed them, to calm them down without any fuss, I sing to them, the ABC's song: You know, A B C D E F G...H I J K L M N O P....Q R S...T U V...W X...Y and Z....now I know my ABC's , next time won't you sing with me...and I put some inflection in my voice.
I also sing, "The Wheels on the Bus", "The Itsy BItsy Spider", the "Happy Birthday" song, their birthday in next month, "Head and Shoulders" as well.
At the party store next to my home, I purchased this 1st Birthday Party CD for girls. And this is where the songs came from. My twins love the songs and they totally calm them down...

Black horse and a Cherry Tree by KT Tunstall. My 11 month old daughter loves the Woo-hoo's!
Also I'm not proud of it but we sing a couple choruses of Gwen Steffani's Holla Back Girls every time we eat "this stuff's Bananas! B-a-n-a-n-a-s!"

As odd as it is my 6month old son loves when i sing Kith Urbans Tonight I wanna Cry.....dont ask why babies are strange like that. Some times its just the high pitches they like and calms them
