sweetie... this is like a repeat of what happened to me. i was 16 and my b/f was 18 and me and my mom did not get along at all. i understand what you're going through. the stress and emotional ride your body goes through when you guys fight could cause you to miscarry, it one of the biggest reasons women miscarry early. i suggest that you wait for a 100% positive (if you don't have it already) test and then sit down with her (have your b/f there for some kind of support, if not him, have a friend) and tell her the news. she's gonna be quite irate at first (as my mom was, and threatened to lock my b/f in jail) but over time as your pregnancy progresses, she'll come around. my mom told me to abort or put my kid up for adoption, and i told her to go to h*ll. now me and my mom have a wonderful relationship and she loves her grandson more than anything. it took until i was about 7 months for her to except it.. so good luck hun and if you just want to talk with someone who's been there before, feel free to contact me. and congrats on the new addition.

No, emotional distress should not cause a miscarriage in a healthy pregnancy. If you were to have a miscarriage it would be because there is a problem with the pregnancy itself, such as the baby isn't growing properly. And ignore the negative comments, I had my first child when I was 18 and only 3 months graduated from high school. My mom was always on my case all the time, and still is to an extent, but everything worked out fine for me in the end. I am happily married with three kids, and have a fairly o.k. relationship with my mom. The key is we don't live in the same house anymore!

Yes, stress can absolutely cause a miscarriage. Would it be possible to go stay with a friend or relative for the weekend or maybe even longer? Tell your mom that you both need a break from eachother. It's not good for you and it's not good for the baby. If you really are pregnant (I didn't quite understand the part about waiting for the positive test to come back) and, after you tell your mom, things don't improve than you need to figure out a different living situation.

Well, stress like that is not good on anyone, especially if your pregnant, but it probably won't cause a misscarriage though. Have you taken a home pregnancy test, why do you have to wait?
I would just talk to her and tell her what you are facing, hopefully she will be supportive.

Yes, emotional and physical stress and abuse can cause miscarriages, espcially early on.
I miscarried at 6-8 weeks because of stress that my aunt and cousins put me and my family through. While it was only emotional abuse, it still caused enough anguish for me to miscarry.
Stop fighting with your mom. Both of you are acting like children.

If theres no violence then it shouldn`t cause a miscarriage but its still not good.
Tell her you think you`re pregnant.
