First off Kobe is the player with the most similar style to Jordan. 2nd I don't have a crystal ball so I'm not gonna make a statement on if, and how many championships James will win. But I do know that he's 6ft8, plays a little of a power style, and doesn't play anything like Jordan. So why do people keep saying he's like Jordan? You might as well say Adam Morrison is the next Stockton!

Of course he is. Every player put up by the media as the next Jordan is too hyped. They only do it because MJ had such a huge impact on the league and brought so much popularity to the NBA that they've been desperate to try to find the next player to have a similar impact. MJ was a much better player than LBJ. There are players with a similar style to Jordon, like Kobe, but none of them will ever equal him.

People need to understand that no one can be compared to Michael Jordan. There will never be any other player quite like him. If you would put Kobe, Wade, Iverson and all of these other up and commers to play in the 80's, they would all be on the injured list due to the rough defense that was played in that era. Every dunk was challenged back then unlike now where they are thinking about their contracts and bonuses for making the playoffs and do not want to be injured.

theyre saying that Lebron is the next Jordan because of his talent, not the way he plays, just that he can play. I agree with everyone saying that he will be the next Jordan because the guy is actually insane. To me he is the number 1 player in the NBA at the moment and he will be for the next couple of year. Lets remember that he should only be getting out of College and into the NBA this year.

There will never be another Jordan.
Greatness is measured in championships and one's desire to push his team to it. That's what Jordan did, he single handedly willed the Bulls to win, he made everbody around him a better player.
Kobe has yet to do that and Kobe has not made any of his teammates better. Yes, he has 3 championships........but he did it when Shaq was there and when Shaq was the Lakers centerpiece. Since Shaq left, the Lakers haven't made the playoffs.
Lebron is 21 or 22. And he has skills that no other has shown at his age. I say when his career is over, his name will be right beside Jordan's and Chamberlain's as the best ever.

I Don't. First off, I think that LeBron is gonna be better than MJ, and Kobe is (in my mind) better than MJ because he hasn't even reached his prime, and he's killing guys around the league. Now LeBron doesn't play like Mike, but I do think that he is a middleman (MJ & Magic), and he can see things that others don't. And who would be silly enough to say that Adam Morrison is the next John Stockton?!

never gonna be another jordan. closest thing would be senior oj mayo who is at west huntington high school in west virginia. But he wont even match up to jordan. So yes james is way overated.
