Pros:
-Much less painful than a c-section.
-No risks related to the use of anesthesia.
-Much faster recovery time.
-No risk of post-operatory infection.
-Shorter hospital stay (you'll be discharged within 24 hours after delivery).
-Lower doctor's and hospital fees than a cesarean section.

Cons:
-Risk (although remote) of uterine rupture, if the previous c-section was less than five years ago.
-Labor cannot be induced; you'll have to wait for it to start spontaneously.

I didn't have one but I know a lot of the facts. if you had a "bikini cut," there are some risks but they are minimal. There is a small percentage that says your old incision could reopen, but it is a very minimal chance. Ask your Dr lots of questions and be sure that they are willing to perform a vbac. Some Dr's aren't willing and want to automatically schedule a c-section, and if you want a scheduled c-section then be upfront about it and tell your Dr. that too.

The Pro's of a v-bac: No surgery, heal faster, less evasive, natural

The Con's of a vbac: you can not have your pregnancy enduced because it can cause your utterus to arrupt or tear & you can bleed to death. You have to wait until you go to into labor naturaly, You can't pick the exact day you want the baby to be born. you bleed more post pregnancy, your vaginal area aches.

I have had both....personaly I would just go with the C-section especialy if you have already had one

I had a VBAC with my third child, it went great. The doctors gave me the option of having another c-section but the recovery time is so much longer and I didn't bond well with my son who was my c-section (emergency he was 11lbs).
