It would depend on the drug you are addicted to.
You don't necessarily need to go into a hospital. Give us more information.

You really have to want to quit. If you dont want to go to a hospital, you need to stop cold turkey from taking whatever drug you are, and Im sorry, but you are going to HAVE to dump any drug using friends you have. They will always be an influence on you to start drugs again, and chances are almost 99% you will not quit. There are programs, a lot of them are FREE, support groups, like AA, that you can attend, hear others stories, and get to tell about yourself, and your issues. A lot of these meetings are held in churches, and the most they may ever request of you is to bring some cookies, or coffe to the meeting after you've attended for a while. Go to ANY church, and speak to the pastor, or the secretary, most churches have an office, and ask them if the sponser a program for drug addiction. They will NOT preach to you at the meetings. God is left out, because it is about a person's recovery, that is the main priority for them. And it is not required that you attend their church. Good Luck!

If U mean heroin and other morphine derivatives, which are collectively called ''drugs'', U have to go to a hospital, because the create physical dependence, i.e. u may suffer from real physical illness if u leave them. If u are in early stage , Ur will power may take u away from it and u may not suffer from illness. Hope this is not the case and then, just leave it and forget every thing . May God help u.

Medicines will help less. You have to determine not to use drugs. It's Diwali & New year is near. So give your near & dear's a reason for being proud of you. Never say today I take drugs & from tommorow I leave. You have to start it right now. So be positive bring self confidence and leave this evil.
Good Luck.

Hi there !
It depends upon so many factors..
1. duration of dependence
2. your age
3. your family situation
4. what sort of drug you are on and lastly..
5. your "will power" .
If you are 'sincerely willing' and with 'strong determination', you can stop yourself without even any of the other family members knowing it..But if you feel that you are not strong in your determination, and if you have failed at least once in your trial to 'stop it' , take your dearest relative into confidence and on outpatient basis, consult a psychologist or a psychiatrist. Tell him that you dont want to be on medication..he will understand it and tell you other options..
dont worry !
Today is bright.. but
tomorrow is more brighter..
go ahead..
best of luck !

If it is not a benzodiazapene like Valium then you may not require a hospital inpatient stay.
Seizures and the like are possible side effects.
Get counseling through a local support group to start.

self-hypnotise that you are disgusted with drugs, very frequently. Cultivate other good habits that are esteemed in the society. Do help to the needy and distressed. Good luck.
