You can buy used ones in the classifieds at www.astromart.com

Expect to pay between $40-$60USD for most used ones, not including shipping.

Good eyepeices are expensive but can really make or break your viewing.

Ebay is not the worst place to buy from as long as the item is new and from a reputable seller. Meade and other companies all deal on Ebay and usually have a substantial discount off retail. There are a few on Ebay to avoid that I can only mention privately, not in an open forum.

Besides Scope City and Orion, there's Astronomics (http://www.astronomics.com/ ) and Anacortes Telescope (http://www.buytelescopes.com/ ). A copy of Sky and Telescope Or Astronomy will have ads from more.

Orion Telescopes has a good selection. I'd recommend a variety of Plossl's.
