You must use picture editing program as ( microsoft photoeditor), you will find it in microsoft office tools if you had microsoft office installed on your computer,, but this program have limited ability,, it is better to use a professional one as

here is a tip that will save you lots of trouble. never do anything to an original image. make a copy of it and change that. if you don't like how it turned out smply delete the copy and make a new one. this will work with every file type on your hard drive.

I would recommend Adobe Photoshop.
