morning after pill is the wors solution after abortion. Condom is safe, easy to get, cheep, and it protects you from both pregnancy from other veneral disese and AIDS . there are many other ways of contraception, too. Maybe the best thing is to consult a docotr.

You wouldn't think so, if you read all the questions from young-teenage pregnant girls on this board!!

But actually, YES, dear, there are countless methods now a days. Women are very lucky because there are lots of options and they are easier to get than ever. PLEASE make an appointment at Planned Parenthood or with your gynecologist to discuss your options. Here is a partial list:

birth control pills,
birth control patch,
birth control vaginal ring "Nuvaring,"
Mirena IUD,
contraceptive injections, Depo-Provera
diaphragms,
contraceptive insert capsules implanted in your upper arm
condoms with spermicide

AFTER you've already had sex its usually too late to use contraceptives. The only thing that might work is the morning after pill, BUT it only works if you take it WITHIN 72 hours of having unprotected sex. After that its too late.

If you need help getting the morning after pill, call Planned Parenthood or your doctor or even go to the emergency room (if its been less than 72 hours since you had sex.) I think some drug stores even sell it over the counter, if you ask the pharmacist. Call your local big pharmacy and ask to speak with the pharmacist to see if they have it in stock.

Ok, if you didn't get around to using CONTRACEPTION...which you should, as AIDS and pregnancy are huge issues... then the morning after pill is the only option. some people acquaite it to abortion, but thats a matter of opinion.

Next time though,... wrap it up and use a condom, or try the femail condom, the injection, birth control pills or spermicide.

Hindsight is the worst form of birth control.

The object is not to make poor choices that could make you pregnant in the first place, but if you must play russian roulette with your future, the morning after pill is ideal.

Your second and third choices are, of course, abortion and suicide.

When you get your IUD inserted, it also prevents pregnancy from sexual activity for 5 days before the insertion.
