Taco Bell rocks!!! I have loved their food since I first started working, they were closer than the other restaurants so I'd go there. Then later even after getting a job at Wendy's, I could get their food half price I would go eat at taco bell. They have great workers and I've never thought why but they are cheaper. Well unless you order off the dollar menu at other places.
Get a couple of half pound Cheesy Bean and Rice Burritos, and a taco or two and you got a good meal for 5 bucks. Maybe even extra guacamole. mmmmmmmm

The reason most of the products they make is cheap is:
1. The quantity in which they produce the items on their menu, mass production around the world helps.
2. Ground beef, chicken, flank steak or the type of beef they use (not a prime cut) is affordable by comparison to seafood or top of the line beef.
3. The ingredients for the type of cooking is also inexpensive.
If anyone decide to prepare at home all the items they offer on the Taco Bell menu, you'll discover how affordable it is to feed a large or small amount of folks. Take the time and plan accordingly, and you'll discover on your own the affordability of tex-mex cooking. ENJOY

You make great observations, but I must say we get what we pay for and much of what Taco Bell delivers is mystery meat (in my humble opinion). I'm pretty leary eating there but I have eaten there. I always expect to hear a noise when I bite into one of their tacos. I think Leatherface from the Texas Chainsaw movies ate at Taco Bell.

well think about it... whats in a taco... a chip instead of a bun, ground meat instead of a patty, so you can cook a whole pot instead of one burger at a time. Beans are cheap, theres just not much to it, You can keep a whole crock of taco meat hot and you cant do that with burgers. I love taco bell. I love tuesdays when you can get tacos for 39 cents. I can feed my whole family CHEAP! And everyone talking about cheap labor? they pay the same at taco bell as they do at McDonlads, burger king and wendys.

i'm not sure but taco bell really has great foos. Maybe because they make the food so fast, their restaurants aren't to fancy and the labor there is cheap so they ccan manage to keep low prices, unlike starbucks coffee

If you really want to know: MSG (used to flavor meat & beans), hydrogenated oils (used in shells and tortillas) and low grade, non-lean garbage meat. 3 cheap ingredients that will eventually give you heart disease and or diabetes.Coffee is more expensive because of the labor involved with coffee beans. Also look at the different countries the coffee comes from.

Dude, I've heard that they use ultra-low quality Grade "D" Beef, which is NOT USDA Inspected and they use loads of MSG to hide the "cheap" flavor.
My best advise: Eat healthy organic foods and Exercise regularly.

Just look at the meat they use. It is the lowest grade allowed by the FDA. But the bean burritos and seven layer burritos are good.
